‘I Had a Dream’ is PAN’s debut album.
The main idea of this album is to produce sound by combining unusual instruments with unusual playing methods. The musicians invent their own alternative techniques and sounds based on the composition and blend them with the conventional playing of their instruments.
All the tracks are composed but not with traditional notation. Each piece has its own subject which has a double-sided meaning and it is written by graphic signs and words as a guideline meanwhile still giving a lot of space to the musicians to fill in their own emotions by improvisation.
The whole album is talking about dreams which is a reflection of one’s thoughts or wishes. The journey starts with the first track Air (Dream) and follows the tracks as chapters of a story. It ends with the last track Bricks (Battery) when the battery is dead.
This album has an audio-movie concept, as the listener follows the tracks it is experienced as a film.
